Pumpkin Roundup (aka my pumpkin obsession)

I seriously have dreams about planting a pumpkin patch in my backyard. On our annual trip (a 50 minute drive- one way) to the only place that let's you pick them right from the field, still attached to the vine, I can barely keep myself from bringing home a truckload (as in a delivery truck) back with us.

I'm fully aware that I might be the only adult who genuinely feels sad when I have to leave a few of the pumpkin patch contenders behind because I've reached the pre-trip, agreed on with hubby, pumpkin limit.

And I'm O.K. with that realization.

I might also start having dreams of these Pumpkin Cupcakes from Let's Entertain. I really love that they're in more than one size. A whole table or a few stands of these would be impressive. My favorite is the mini that's dusted with sugar in the bottom of the photo.

This is fantastically clever don't you think? It's made from dryer vent! You can find the tutorial over at House of Hepworth.

I saw this garland from Collecting the moments via one pretty thing and instantly wanted to make one for myself!

I saw these cute chocolate covered marshmallow treats from Betty Crocker Wannabe via Someday Crafts.

Acorn Pumpkin Halloween Decorations

Acorn Pumpkins- Now here's a craft I had forgotten all about making as a kid in school. But as soon as I saw it on FamilyFun the memories came flooding back.

  1. Thanks for the feature. I had a lot of fun making the marshmallow pumpkins, and I love that folks seem to really like them! :)

  2. Thanks for this. I'm tentatively thinking of entering a pumpkin- and Halloween-themed cupcake contest at the end of the month and had no idea where to start with the decorations. Those cupcakes totally look do-able for someone like me with very limited decorating skills.

  6. i kinda hate pumpkins, which is wierd, cause i LOVE halloween, but the pumpkin cupcakes, the knit pumpkin and the marshmallow pumpkins are all so cute!

(i think the dislike stems from not liking the colour orange... and cleaning up pumpkin slime one too many times before i thought to set my jack-o-lanterns on top of garbage bags!)

  7. Thanks for the comments ladies!

Amy- LOL, I can love pumpkins enough for you too. It's funny that you kinda hate pumpkins... it made me laugh because I can't imagine not swooning over them.

MJ, Hubby has an undeniable sweet tooth. So I try to avoid making cupcakes and other sweets as much as possible. But for those pumpkins... I might have to break down and bake more than the once a month for cupkins (on my other blog).

  8. AND Let's not forget those Marshmallows... I think they are adorable and can't wait to make some. I think they'd be easy and the perfect thing to bring to a party.
