Pumpkin Carving Party

I'm in full Halloween mode. After last year's freak snow storm that cancelled Halloween I'm ready for a classic holiday this year... hopefully mother nature cooperates!

I'm excited to announce two things.

Thing number 1- I've started an Etsy Shop. And my first items will of course be Halloween inspired. In fact the pdf pattern for this invitation is my very first listing.

It comes with tracing templates to make the invitation and 6 bonus face templates so you can make a variety of Jack-o-lantern styles.

Thing number 2- There are going to be some changes to MegaSpooky this year. I've often struggled with how to balance my other blog (not shortchanging it when it comes to Halloween) and this blog. September and October can get downright overwhelming with both blogs. But I also want to keep the content on both different, not simply reposting the same things on both at the same time.

So, I'm going to devote MegaSpooky to chronicling the yearly yard decorating and anything that's generally Halloween related. But all craft items for Halloween will be posted on MegaCrafty. Occasionally I might link to MegaCrafty for a roundup type post but for the most part things that are purely craft related will be posted on MegaCrafty.

If you want to catch all the Halloween goodness you can either follow MegaCrafty or check-in from time to time and click on the Halloween Tag in my sidebar. That's an easy way to find everything Halloween.

I hope this change will lead to more posting on MegaSpooky and a better balance between both blogs!
